Owner of Death's Door Spirits, Brian Ellison, embarked on a venture to introduce a distinctive range of flavored gins diverging from conventional norms. Embracing a philosophy grounded in authenticity, he opted for natural flavorings over synthetic counterparts. Thus, envisioning a collection that resonated with an outsider ethos, Brian christened the gin line "Calamité," drawing inspiration from the French term denoting an unfortunate event. Playing off the essence of mischief-makers, I infused the brand with a blend of Victorian charm and contemporary vibrancy. Through the integration of vintage character sketches and vibrant hues, the bottles not only reflect the distinct personalities of their contents but also convey the unique flavors within.
