With a decline in foot traffic and major construction disrupting blocks of the 16th Street Mall, the Downtown Denver Partnership sought a unique, personal approach to attract both new and returning visitors to downtown, using their pre-established campaign name, "mydenver." Embracing a kind of gamified experience, we proposed installing QR codes around downtown Denver to serve multiple purposes: sharing personal stories and history about each location, offering discounts and special promotions from local businesses, and creating fresh ways for Denverites to connect with the city, and one another. Our campaign CTA: "Come find the stories, and then make your own."
