Calamité Gin
Branding + Packaging Design
Brian Ellison, owner of the former Death’s Door Spirits, set out to create a line of flavored gins that challenged convention by using natural ingredients instead of synthetic flavorings. Inspired by an outsider spirit, he named the line Calamité, from the French word for an unfortunate event. I developed the brand’s visual identity, blending Victorian charm with modern energy through vintage character illustrations and bold color, giving each bottle a distinct personality that reflects its flavor.
